Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch 10

Note to self, never take a sick break again. No, I haven’t lost interest in blogging yet, but I did lose a significant amount of motivation after a whole week’s worth of slack. It’s like how it’s tough to grasp the mood to study at school after coming back from a long summer break. No, I refuse to take all that bullshit from other bloggers about how you don’t have to update your blog when you don’t want to. Personally, I think half of them just use it as the “my dog ate my homework” excuse anyway. Some of us just work differently, okay? The people on the little slow side like to blog like how they used to procrastinate with school assignments and turn in a five minute crap the next day, while the rest actually work better and release more quality work when we are under pressure. What I’m saying is, just smile and nod while I try to catch up with this blogging business again. I also noticed that I just couldn’t pull out as much comments as I used to with episode entries so I decided to slightly change the style and make it into something more concrete like the long ass overview entry I did for the earlier episodes of Code Geass. I will sometimes even skip a week and charge it up for the next week if there just wasn’t much to discuss about. Okay, let’s get on with the god damn entry already.

Like I have commented before, Viletta’s bound to cause the most trouble to Lelouch in the near future. A lot of the comments I have to read from here and there seem to be too concerned with how they didn’t clearly indicate whether Jeremiah did die or not when they really be sitting there trying to think up of theories for what Viletta might do. There’s currently a pretty acceptable prediction on how Viletta’s going to try to track down that student who stole her Sutherland from the spoilers that came out on Newtype, but I’ll hold it back for the people who like to bitch and moan about possible spoilers. At least if Jeremiah did die, we can be pretty sure that it won’t be too long until all of Lelouch’s miscalculations come back to bite him in the ass. If he didn’t, well that thought can wait until later. It’s still good to keep on heads up on what might be a possible downfall of Lelouch.

Speaking of downfall of Lelouch, there’s also all these crap about Suzaku getting a Geass going on. You want to hear my comments on it? Go take a herring and slap all the people talking about it. It’s sad, really sad. Code Geass fans somehow degenerated to dim-witted Naruto fans who always jump at certain theories too early and end up getting wronged the next week. T-that’s all I’m going to say. There just isn’t enough evidence or whatever to support much of that so just quit that while you guys are ahead. And well, if that does happen, which I doubt, I’ll stab a pen through my neck. For now, I’ll say that this series is going on the right track. Lelouch did remain as the strategist and not a real Knightmare combat pilot after all, but who’s going to complain after finding out that Kallen is the designated queen piece on Lelouch’s chess board? Now I know for sure why I like her so much. Yes, I fully support the idea that Lancelot would be the one to have to withdraw from battle this time. Face it, Suzaku’s just a moron who’s only good because he has the latest model. Kallen is going to bitch slap him to where he belongs now that she finally has something that can go head on with the Lancelot. It’s all fair play from here.

Leaving that aside, the main attraction in this episode was simply awesome. Oh yeah, turn back from reading this while you can. The remainder will be just ramblings from a mecha fan who likes abusing his Super Robot Taisen references. So, other people probably said this enough, but the red frame and the bulky upper torso really makes it resemble Eva-02. Unfortunately Crimson Lotus MK-II does not come packaged with a spear. At least that’s probably the thoughts from you people. Personally, this thing is tons better than an Eva-02. Okay fine, that only applies after you leave out the fact that Eva-02 can throw around the AT-field. Don’t come with a mob in front of my house now. Look, I’ll even say it. Eva-02 rules!

Anyway, after checking the specs on this new model, it’s actually nothing like the Eva-02 especially when you notice that this thing runs on Eva-01’s S2 Engine instead of some stinking cable lines. After watching it’s first performance on the field, I found Crimson Lotus MK-II to be more of a cross between an Alt Eisen from the Super Robot Taisen game series, and the God Gundam from the G Gundam series. The actual function of the claw resembles Alt Eisen’s Revolver Stake. After smashing its claw into another Knightmare, it lets out a high-explosive charge to increase the grasping power. And well, just like the Alt Eisen, the high-explosive charge is condensed like an revolver ammo. Now I should be worrying whether if the Crimson Lotus MK-II ever runs out of ammo for that claw move. I know Alt-Eisen’s done after using six shots of it unless its carrying some reloads. The difference is that we’re talking about a claw, not a stake, but that’s what makes this mecha even better. Now, it’s pretty much an Alt Eisen using the trademark God Finger attack from G Gundam. Goodbye Jeremiah. I doubt he survived that. No one survives the almighty God Finger! Here’s where I said I would isolate you mecha-ignorant people. You just won’t understand what’s so scary about all this if you don’t know what a God Finger or a Shining Finger is. Eh, now it’s time to wreck that god damn Lancelot. Lancelot was always my least favorite character from all those King Arthur stories not to mention.
