Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch 11
So much for the long awaited match between Guren Nishiki and Lancelot. Apparently Sunrise though it was funny to tease us by calling in a stalemate to Lelouch’s chess game. Just in case people get the wrong impression, this was another episode that got me hyped enough to throw in a ten out of ten. It’s just that I am a little sour about outcome. To put it in other words, Sunrise teased my appetite by giving me only one slice of pizza instead of the whole pan. I was literally jumping in excitement when Kewell died because his emergency ejection malfunctioned while Jeremiah’s ejection system ironically put him out of danger at the last minute. Now here’s where the problem starts. One death? Is that it Sunrise? Now I can really wonder why a lot of people comment that Sunrise has this tendency to keep all the main characters alive with Jeremiah popping in here as a good example. That guy should really die already though. To tell the truth, not because I want to laugh like a maniac like when Kewell blew the dust, but because the poor guy has been through hell. It feels weird realizing how much Sunrise series have changed for people who had been following with all the old school works from Sunrise. Wonder whatever happened to all the Yoshiyuki Tomino inspired kill ‘em all endings. It would have been good times if the whole Britannia forces got wiped out by Guren Nishiki.
Toudou’s entrance wasn’t all that big and devastating for the Britannia army. I was expecting it to be significant enough to just completely break down the whole Britannia army’s morales here. It was still quite a scene to watch Gillford all those guys cornered into defending in a back-to-back circle formation. Now only if it was big enough make them all piss in their pants. At least I think Toudou and his Four Holy Swords team served its purpose to self-proclaim itself as the Order of the Black Knight allied equivalent of Cornelia’s royal guards team. Just for correction, both of them are not using any special Knightmares. For example, Cornelia’s Knightmare is actually the same standard Sutherland all the grunts are using. The only difference is that it’s been modified to be more close-combat oriented and the same goes for the one Toudou was using. Anyway, that was still quite a sight. The fact that the special team from the Japan Liberation Front uses only swords really goes along with the image here. It’s very reminiscent of samurai’s trying to resist against all the Europeans pouring into their home country.
If there’s one you must hate, it’s not Sunrise. Hate the gayest Knightmare to ever crawl out of the gayest hole on the gayest planet in the gayest universe, Lancelot, also known as the Gay White Knight. Well, there goes Lelouch’s glorious moment to watch that witch Cornelia struggle and squirm to the every last joint her body can move. The biggest surprise was Guren Nishiki, which pulled out what no one really expected. It can use the radiant surged claw to nullify bullets. As of right now, it’s pretty much a one trick pony, but there’s no denying that it has the best offensive weapons. Guren Nishiki should actually feared not for the the “Shining Finger” move, but for the fact that it can melt down a Knightmare’s weapon and disarm it with ease.
And as I have said, it ended in a complete stalemate. Lancelot faced an obstacle it can’t clear, which might mean some future modifications while Guren Nishiki needs to deal with the claw repairs and some final touches to include more weapons. Personally I want to see it use something like the Fang Slasher weapon used by Huckebein Mark III in the Super Robot Taisen game series. Screw those lame wired Slash Harkens, it’s all about the wireless. Oh, and there’s also the deal with the pilots. Suzaku went through mental shock and it looks like his dead father would have looked down on Suzaku for betraying the Elevens and joining the army like the coward who just wants to live he is. Kallen might have some problems piloting in the future too if that really was a jealous look on her face at the end. Oh yeah, I laugh at the fools who were jumping the gun about how Suzaku is going get his own Geass ability in this episode.
The closing of this episode was done pretty well to actually get me to start warming up to C.C.’s character. I always never understood why people liked her so much even for just the looks. Whatever, it’s all for the better right? It’s all right to give into her charms in this episode if I’m going to be a C.C. fanboy with some intelligent solid reasoning for liking her. Well, I’m probably not the only one going through this reverse order here. Typical C.C. fans went from looks to personality, while I went the other way around. I still don’t think she’s anywhere close to Kallen in terms of looks, but there are times when I think she looks cute on certain shots just as a side effect from adoring her actual character too much. You get what I mean? Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention that I also love her now because she completely mind-raped Suzaku. Come on, just one more push and that bastard can finally get castrated before he gets laid by Cecile.
At this point, I wouldn’t mind if there’s a Lelouch and C.C. pairing. I really like the way they look out for each other without expressing much because both of them are really full of pride. Their conservations are no where near smooth, but it somehow works out. The best example I can probably use is Riku and Harada (they never stated his first name did they?) from Honey and Clover. They just get along even without much words. Again, let’s hope people get what I’m trying to say I’m not the best person to put these into words since English isn’t even my first language. Although Lelouch’s tone always makes it sound if he’s just pretending, I’m pretty sure he meant it when he gave his thanks to C.C. Well, at least he should feel grateful since this is the second time she saved him after his plan screwed up. Too bad Light from Death Note never had insurance like this. And of course, no new episode next week. Go ahead and check out Code Geass’s entry on Wikipedia if you’re interested in the listings for the new opening and ending themes.
Oooh,…I shouldn’t read your reviews too much…they spoil too much, lol…Massive spoiling, OMG…*bangs head on wall*

Yeah, I already saw that and I’m afraid to say all that stuff is rather stupid to me. Parody or not, I’m getting sick of all that Haruhi crap on every god fucking blog.

Enjoy. ;)
It’s a TRAP!!! :D
Slight correction:
Cornelia’s mech is a modified Glouchester, not a Sutherland. The 4 swords of the JLF are piloting modified Burai.
A Glouchester is a modified Sutherland.
