Battle Moon Wars - Third Act

I will admit it, this is what I’ve been up to during the little break. Well, actually this is just one of the three games that were keeping me preoccupied. You can probably guess the second one since it somehow relates to this one. I highly recommend choosing the “No, we’re fasting today,” option if anyone hasn’t got to that part yet in the Fate/Stay Night. translation for Fate route for some laughs. Putting that aside, the third expansion was thrilling with all the new characters and weapon, but I can’t help feeling that it had way too many of those short event-ish scenario’s. Probably half of the scenario’s were probably just about getting a new character, a new weapon, or other upgrades. The final stage for Third Act is also actually easier than the one in Second Act since all you’re doing is advancing forward without enemies coming at you from the side. Then again, I always wanted more Super types in the game so I’m bought.

Only finished the Super route so far so I can’t give tips on all the scenario’s. If you’re playing a no-upgrade game like I am, you might have trouble with the part where you have to fight off Nanaya and Archer from the mansion. Just make sure Rider gets to 130 morale and has enough SP to finish off Archer with a Hot-Blooded Bellerophon. Scenario 34 (the one with only Archer, Lancer, and Rider) is in all routes and probably the one most people had problem finishing. First, the objective is to get your characters to run away by reaching the edge the map from where Lancer came from. Killing True Assassin on your way will net you a skill point. Now, if you’re running a no-upgrade, make sure you just abuse saves. Fight Leysritt and Sella without consuming SP since you’ll need it to pound on True Assassin if an un-upgraded Unlimited Blade Work won’t take out half of its bar. Have fun trying to dodge with Rider as it will make you go nuts especially since you get hit quite often even when the enemy’s hit rate is at 6%. That should be about it for the Super route. Real route seems to feature more of Archer, Rider, Shiro, Sakura, and Rin from what I can see since they weren’t available in the later stages in my game.

If there’s anything to suggest, I would recommend always taking one healer and one resupplier. Now don’t use them to attack. Just make them syringe or resupply each other to gain levels quickly to make them more fit for seishin skill abusing. Try to stick with either a pair of Kohaku and Ren, or Karen and Hisui since you’ll want to have access to both Great Effort and Lucky for boss kills. Kohaku and Ren can give morale to other characters while Karen’s last spell is Exhaust which can decrease your enemy’s morale by 10. Make sure to equip the maid outfit for more max SP.

Ah, my favorite attack. It doesn’t matter what anyone says, Ryogi Shiki is my new favorite character. I really don’t understand people having trouble using her. People aren’t used to using Super types or something. When you use Supers, make sure they give a killing blow or at least attack from out of the enemy’s range (this applies to the sniper enemies without close range weapons.) You only use Flash when you’re facing a boss, and even by then Ryogi can avoid taking damage since she has some kind of bunshin ability that kicks in when her morale is high enough. On a no-upgrade game, critical hits kill most full health grunts in a single hit. And in the case of Ryogi, critical happens almost every time due to her stat and the insanely high critical bonus on her weapons. Below is a quick list of seishin skills if you want to plan in advance for characters to focus on. Unfortunately it’s limited to only the ones I obtained so any contribution would be nice. Also suggested level in this expansion is level 37 at most. If you try to go any further, you won’t get as much experience points since the game tries to keep you on level with the enemies in the game. Please refer to this site compiled by Lord Phr0zen for the names I used for the skills listed. Although I didn’t use those names through out this post, let’s list them like that for consistency’s sake. I was also surprised to find my name on the credit list for that one time when I just casually listed the effect of the known seishin skills. Sorry, I don’t have the specific levels you learn the skills. I know Ryogi learns Miracle at level 38 though. Hmmm, Kohaku has Miracle somehow.

Sakura is missing from this list. I have the feeling that she’s a Real route exclusive or something since I never got her back in the game. Satsuki might be a Super route exclusive unless someone can confirm from the Real route side before I get to. If so, there’s a certain requirement to obtain her.

You get Sakura back in the final stage of the Real route (kind of)… the Real route in Part 3 is in my opinion a lot more impressive than the Super Route, although it’s just as easy. Shirou and Sakura’s combination attack that gets unveiled in the final real route stage is awesome (although very cheesy)

So you mean the combination attack is obtained through an event at the end of the scenario like in Act 1 and 2? Yeah, I did see the screenshot of it on iichan.

That’s a little unfair. Super route had nothing. Unless watching your characters get wiped out by ********* (I need to set up spoiler tags) is supposed to be thrilling. I’m still wondering why my combination attacks disappear sometimes. I couldn’t use any on the stage with Black Saber.

Eh, guess I’ll find out everything by probably this weekend. Currently finished Act 1 portion of the Real route with both Kohaku and Hisui proudly at level 19.

I’m not really a game person myself. Doujin games like these somehow find their time slot in my daily schedule though.

Looks like an interesting game with the Fate/Stay Night Chars… I wonder if I can still get it somehow…
