El Cazador de la Bruja 17 - 18
Don’t you hate it when you sort of go into a trance and delete files without realizing? I lost all the resized and ready screenshots for episode seventeen so I had to just combine it up with the next episode. So much for goals to increase the number of posts per week. Anyway, episode seventeen was more or less another teaser as in my own words. It looked like it’ll be a bit more about Nadie, and then they just went right back to Ellis. On top of that, they closed off all chances of making any bounty hunting related episodes by that last comment by Ellis towards the end. I actually liked the episode, but they really got to stop putting everything behind Nadie as a mystery. Can we just know it now? Bounty hunters risk their life in their jobs. Uh, why hello there Captain Obvious? Reunion with Ricardo and Lirio seems to be standard now and it’s quite welcome. Am I only the one who thinks Ricardo just uses Lirio as an excuse to help out Nadie and Ellis?
Didn’t we see that guy on the bottom corner get shot by Nadie in episode two?
Admittedly, I only realized there was a joke here while watching the episode a second time to refresh my memory for this post. Apparently Blue Eyes is getting put on a strict taco diet because she gained weight from sitting around in an office during her undercover work.
Then there’s that matter about Ellis who seems to be better adapt at calling forth her abilities. I’m still bother by how they made Ellis use ice to turn the car’s course as slipper ice could have made it go anywhere, but this is anime so I’ll just shut up. Pretty funny how Ellis only takes a jump or two to get up to Guerrero’s room while Nadie and Ricardo are struggling to take the long normal way. I would have expected Nadie to know about Ellis’s unusual physical abilities and use her as part of the plan to capture Guerrero if we weren’t well informed that Nadie doesn’t want to put Ellis in danger. Much to the irony, Ellis seems to fare much better without Nadie pulling her back as in the next episode.
Nadie mistakes a construction work for someone lurking on the rooftop to snipe Ellis and offends Ellis for the first time. I was beginning to think this would never happen, but it seems like my fears all this time were correct. Good part of all this is that it didn’t involve Ellis going chaos and releasing all her powers like when Rosenburg destroyed one of her dolls and left it lying around. Quite scary to know you have offended someone unstable like Ellis, but another good episode involving more of Ellis and how she comes to understand certain feelings. Much better compared to the previous episode, if not a bit confusing because of the whole deal about a ghost in existence.
I know just about El Cazador is cliché all, but I can’t seem to help laughing every time they bring back something from a previous episode. “Atsui koi no honoo ga moeagaru…”
Ah, flute blowing. Another overused one in anime, yet no one really complains about these. Lirio blowing the flute! Lirio blowing the flute!
My life is over. I can die happily now that I actually heard Itou-sama say, “Pyon~!”
Confusing episode is confusing. Just what exactly was the ghost trying to show Ellis anyway or did it all have no meaning? Could also have been a silly excuse to throw in loli Nadie for us. Sorry Bee Train, I don’t do loli’s though. Can’t trick me into thinking less with that.
I like yuri. Yuri banzai!! Come on, need I say more? And that shot of them cuddling and holding hands came off as very suggestive afterglow scene to me. Eh, stupid aurabolt. Bad thoughts. >_<
