Anime has been strange lately. I was never the type to eagerly listen to a soundtrack, but recent series have turned that into a pastime. In this case, Clannad is the third series to have me sitting and listening to its visual novel soundtrack, which is more or less same to what’s used in the anime. My only explanation for suddenly getting into them is because they help recall memorable scenes from a recent favorite; mainly involves looping Sora no Hikaru. Here’s what I mean by strange though. Normally, this would imply I have just become easier to please and thus more sensible to soundtracks. It makes sense too since anime deprivation from college housing made me less picky about what I watch. Any anime is welcome. However, interest in original soundtracks started back with episode fourteen of El Cazador de la Bruja. That was back in summer vacation before going off to college, so it turns out anime deprivation isn’t a factor for my sudden love for soundtracks. Unfortunately, there aren’t much other way to explain it. Either my tastes are changing or anime is slightly getting better.
